- Most indexing processes now run only to update products, categories, URL redirects, and so on that have changed—eliminating the need for manual full reindexing
- Your Magento web store is not locked at any point during reindexing
- Reindexing is now a background process.
2. Improved Caching (Enterprise Edition only)
- Improve caching to enable even greater performance by invalidating only relevant pages making it easier to cache content without affecting site performance
- Improved cache adapter for single-host systems
- Additional option of using Redis NoSQL for cache and session storage in multi-host deployments
3. Fixed Product Tax calculations (Magento CE and EE):
Tax calculation formulas has a major overhaul: eliminating potential rounding offsets that can be displayed on buyer facing screens and additional assistance with configuration.
4. Checkout performance (Magento CE and EE):
This version showcases tremendous improvements in further speeding up the checkout process by reducing page load times for browsing and placing orders, this will help customers to significantly save time shopping and increase satisfaction.
